LEXEGETE™ was the first lectionary software for both Apple Macintosh and PC-compatible computers. It was introduced in Atlanta, GA, in April of 1987 at the CAMCON (Computer-assisted Ministry Conference), where it was awarded The CAMCON Prize for the most innovative new Bible Software. Lexegete was originally published in 1987 (Year A, Matthew), 1988 (Year B, Mark), and 1988 (Year C, Luke), and available in a print-on-demand format. Since 2006, pericopes from LEXEGETE™ have been available online as a weblog [http: www. yourobdtsvt.blogspot.com] and now as part of Facebook's "The Text This Week" page. Tischrede Press plans a "1517" Edition online in time for the 500th Celebration of Luther's Ninety-Five Theses in 2017, possibly on Kindle for iPad and iPhone.

Jewish and Christian scriptures are an extraordinary source of information on health and healing, still useful to contemporary health care professionals after thousands of years of study and interpretation.  This short survey examines health and healing through the lens of writings from the Book of Leviticus,  I Kings, Psalms, Luke, Mark, and James, inter alia.  The emphasis throughout is on the role of "Shalom, "  the Hebrew concept of Wholeness and Peace.  This is compared and contrasted with modern medical technologies such as DRG groups (diagnostically related groups), AIDS (HIV-positive), and disease prevention.
